The First One

Hey everyone! Welcome to our blog, and our FIRST-EVER-post! We have been wanting to start this blog for some time, and are so excited for it to finally be here!
So, who are WE? We are Joe and Melissa Jacobs, a husband and wife team, and parents to two littles – a 5 year old boy and 3 year old girl. We like to think we balance each other out pretty well. If you know us personally, then you know what I am talking about. For those of you who dont know us personally just yet, here is some more about us:
Joe is an introverted thinker, with a whitty sense of humor, who values efficiency. He has an outfit for each day of the week, so – not exaggerating –  he knows exactly what he will wear each day. His day job is crunching numbers, but in his spare time he is usually playing the bass guitar, or dreaming up our next vacation spot. When the kids are finally asleep you can probably find him binge watching The West Wing on repeat while washing the dishes.
Melissa is an extroverted feeler who values aesthetics and connection. Her outfit for the week is usually in a clean pile on the floor, which will eventually get put away. Her day job is wrangling children, cleaning (or lack there of) and cooking, not always in that order. You could most often find her in the kitchen creating the latest healthy recipe she found on pinterest, though. In her spare time she is usually, singing, playing piano, crafting or reading one of the few books she has in rotation. Oh, and currently binge watching The Office.
